Adelaide Stegall Hill, 90, of Marshville NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 14, 2014 surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 28, 1923 to the late R.P.Stegall, Sr. and Ella Mae Stegall. She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Marvin Hill and three daughters Mae Ellen Little and husband Ken, Carol Reavis and husband Mike, and Libby Evans and husband David. Adelaide is also survived by four grandchildren whom she adored and was affectionately known as Memom. They are Jason Little and wife Heather, Melissa Whitson and husband Scott, Jamie Reavis and wife Anna, and Eric Evans. She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Eli and Harper Whitson, and Emory Little. Adelaide is also survived by a brother Charles Stegall and wife Patsy. She was preceded in death by brothers; Roy, John, and Sam Stegall and sister Evelyn Pierce. Adelaide was an active and faithful member of First Baptist Church of Marshville where she served as Sunday School teacher, Deacon, and Director. She was devoted to her Lord and family. Adelaide graduated from Presbyterian Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. Her passion was caring for her family and friends in her community.
