Mr. Allen H. Phifer 95, passed away Friday the 18th of November, 2016 at Autumn Care of Marshville. He was born in Union County on October 6th, 1921 to the late Ivan Malcom & Lillie Hamilton Phifer. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII and retired from the NC State Prison Dept. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Kathryn Moore Phifer. Funeral Services will be 11am Monday the 21st of November, 2016 in the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hamilton Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4pm until 5:30pm at Morgan & Son.
Mr. Phifer is survived by his sons: Jerry A. Phifer (Carolyn), and Ronnie L. Phifer (Brenda) all of Peachland. Two daughters: Anne P. Helms of Peachland and Theresa P. Collins (Gary) of Woodstock, Ga. In addition to his children, he is survived by five grandchildren: Michelle Phifer, Bradley Phifer, Suzanne Shafer, LeAnn Phifer Polk and Henry Phifer. Nine great-grandchildren: Phifer Griffin, Charlotte Griffin, Savanna Phifer, Lucas Wagstaff, Elizabeth Wagstaff, Nikki Shafer, Brooke Shafer, A.J. Polk, Hunter Polk and Addison Rushing-Phifer. Step-grandchild, Amy McLaurin. Step-great-grandchildren: Evan McLaurin and Logan Hill.
