Mrs. Alma Luenell Davis Johnson, 84, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at her home in Marshville.  Born August 10, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Frank L. Davis and Fannie Pearl Ponds Davis.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Carl earlier this month and  by children, Kathryn Elaine Johnson, Joe Carl Johnson and 5 brothers.

Luenell is survived; daughter, Patricia Hardy and her husband Bobby and a son, Jessie Cecil Johnson and his wife Renee'; daughter-in-law, Johanna Johnson; grandchildren; Heather Karma Ghant, Travis Blair Ghant, Jesse Oliver Rowe, Amy Jane Chaney and husband, Rodney, Melissa Ann Hines and husband Corey, Anna Millicent Johnson, Jarrod Colby Johnson and wife Malia, and Joseph Brandon Johnson; great grandchildren, Jamin, Nathan, Josiah, Joshua, Camryn, Adyson, Emma, Jesse, Jameson, Emerson; sister, Brenda Helms and her husband Craig; and all of her nieces and nephews whom were precious to her.

A funeral service to celebrate Luenell's life will be 11 AM Friday at the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 on Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials to the Hospice of Union County or to the charity of the donor's choice.
