Mrs. Arlene S. Gaddy, 82, passed away at her residence on Tuesday the 23 ^rd of May, 2017.  She was born in Stanly County on February the 9 ^th , 1935 to the late Grover and Nellie Furr Smith.  She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Albert "Buddy" Gaddy.

Private Memorial Services will be held for family and friends.

She is survived by three sons: Mr. Randy Gaddy, Mike Gaddy and his wife Sue, and Greg Gaddy and his wife Marcia.  Her daughter; Wendy Fox of Huntersville.  Eight Grandchildren: Randall Gaddy, Garrett Gaddy, Matthew Gaddy, Quinn Gaddy, Emma Fox, Freddy Ossman, Brandy McCann and Brittany Marshall.  Great-grandchildren: Wesley, Kolton, Abbey, Lucas, Emerson, Harleigh, and Briana.  She is also survived by her two sisters: Anne Queen of Matthews and Judy Clemons of Mint Hill.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to:  Hospice of Union County, 700 Roosevelt Blvd. W., Monroe, NC 28112.
