Mr. Arthur Francis Xavier, 88, of Matthews, passed away Monday evening at Hospice Haven in Richmond County, NC.  Born December 19, 1933 in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Ernest William Xavier and Helen Parks Xavier.

Mr. Xavier worked for the Sears and Roebuck Company and retired after 25 years of service.  He then worked for PCA for another 14 years until the business closed its local warehouse.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and  proud veteran of The United States Army.

His favorite scripture verses can be found in the book of Psalms chapter 46 verses 1 through 3 "God is our refuge and strength.  Avery present help in trouble.  Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling.  Selah." and in the book of John chapter  3 verse 16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish but have eternal life".

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Arthur will be 3 PM on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Glen Alpine, NC  28655.  The family will receive friends from 2-3 at the church.
