Mr. Bryant Austin Griffin, 83 passed away Sunday, January 19, 2025, at Autumn Care in Marshville. Born June 11, 1941, in Union County, NC he was a son of the late William Ellis Griffin and Myrtle Austin Griffin.

Daddy leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and compassion. He taught us the importance of family and God. He passed on values of a strong work ethic, independence, being responsible, honesty, generosity, and his "never give up" attitude to his children. His heritage continued with four grandchildren and great grandchildren on the way.

He instilled his love for animals to his children in many ways. He taught all four of his children to ride and care for horses, and they continue to ride to this day.

He was a very proud farmer all his life, growing crops and raising farm animals. His front door was always open to any stray that was brought home…two legged or four. He was an excellent gardener, which he continued until this health would not allow him to. His children are continuing his love of gardening. He also loved to fish, whittle, and play the harmonica.

Those left to cherish his memory include a son Mitchell Griffin, daughter, Debbie Griffin Hatley, Cindy Griffin Corley (Donnie) and Milly Griffin; grandchildren, Cody Morgan, Megan Hatley Taber, Logan Griffin, and Katelyn Griffin; mother of his children, Claudia Patricia Griffin.
