Dateline - Marshville Mrs. Bernice Nance Williams, 86, died Saturday at Monroe Square Assisted Living. Born June 2, 1927 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Effie Kiker Nance. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Bernice will be held Tuesday at 2pm from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. The burial will be private. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband Joe Luke Williams of the home; son, Donnie Williams of Peachland; daughter, Dava W. Smyre of Marshville; brother, Charles Nance of Peachland; grandchildren, Meredith Williams, Carmen Drye, Joseph Morgan and Brandon Smyre; great-grandchildren, Lydia and Mason Drye and Killian Smyre.
