Dateline – Monroe

Ms. Betty Lorraine Mullis, 72, of Marshville, died Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Autumn Care Nursing Home. Born October 8, 1944 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Lindsey Brown Mullis and Jessie Philmon Mullis.

Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Fairfield Community Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Mrs. Mullis is survived by  sons, Dennis Wheeler and his wife Susan of Monroe, NC and Kevin Wheeler and his wife Tabitha of Marshville, NC; daughter, Kim Wheeler of Little River, SC; Sisters, Rebecca Sims of Marshville, Gail Little of Rockingham, Frances Rushing; sisters-in-law, Shirley Mullis of Indian Trail, Jean Mullis of Marshville and Gail Mullis of Monroe; grandchildren, Daniel Wheeler, Amber Efird, Corey Wheeler, Ashton St Louis. 4 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friend, Charles Anderson of Patrick, SC.
