Peachland – Mrs. Betty Louise Caudle Nance, 89, passed away Friday, January 28, 2022 at Autumn Care in Marshville. Born July 4, 1932 in Anson County, she was a daughter of Ernest and Mae Caudle. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles, a brother, Bill Caudle, a sister, Virginia Caudle and a daughter -in-law, Karen Nance. She loved playing the piano and singing for her church and served in many positions at church as well. She had a passion for gardening and flowers. She was a Godly mother and she set a biblical example of what a family is supposed to be. She shared her singing talent with all of her family and church family.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Betty will be 2 PM, Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Freedom Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 – 1:45 pm at the church.
Mrs. Nance is survived by sons, Alvin Nance, Ernie Nance (Lori); daughters, Brenda N. Raborn (Gary) and Linda N. Griffin (Terry); grandchildren, Allison Harris (Ryan), Josh Nance (Angela), Melanie Knight (Will), Benjamin Raborn (Anna), Rebecca Raborn, Lindsay Bryant (Jacob), Daniel Griffin (Jennifer), and Mikayla Keyser (Austin), step grandchild, Jonathan Russell (Jade); great-grandchildren, Makyna Nance, Brinley Nance, Charley Nance, Addi Nance, Easton Knight, Kaiden Knight, and Cohen Knight, Nora Harris, Annie Harris, Lexi Griffin, Ethan Griffin, Mason Bryant and Riley Mae Bryant, Sam Raborn, Josephine Raborn and Aaron Raborn, step great-grandchild, Walker Russell.
The family would like to thank the staff at Autumn Care of Marshville and Hospice of Union County for their compassionate care while a resident.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Freedom Baptist Church, PO Box 315, Peachland, NC 28133.
