Dateline – Monroe

Mr. Bill M. Simpson 82, passed away on December the 13 ^th , 2016 at his residence.  He was born in Union County, NC on November the 8 ^th , 1934 to the late Grady Monroe and Bronnie Brewer Simpson.  Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a veteran of the US Army and was a self-taught watch repairman for over 55 years.  Bill was a devoted member of Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church for over 25 years.  He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing, flying model airplanes, and reading his Holy Bible.

Funeral Services will be 11am Friday at Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will greet friends following the service.

He is survived by his wife of over 61 years, Shirley S. Simpson.  His daughter Mrs. Robin Helms and her husband Mike of Albemarle. Two grandchildren: Joseph Helms and Steven Helms both of Albemarle.
