Mrs. Billie Jo Horne returned to her heavenly home on August 15, 2016. She was born to the late Loyd & Lula Williams in Anson County.
Billie was blessed to have a devoted family. She was the beloved wife of Cresful William Horne for over 60 years. Establishing their home in Marshville, NC, they had one son, Cresful William Horne, Jr. Billie was a wonderful wife and mother and always supported her husband and son in their various business endeavors. She will forever be remembered as "Grandma" by her two grandchildren, Wil and Skylar.
Because she felt so fortunate, Billie truly enjoyed being able to help others. She lived her life by the Golden Rule and encouraged her family and others to do the same. Her steadfast faith in Jesus Christ sustained her during her life and even through her last days.
Billie is survived by her husband, C. W. Horne; her son, Cress Horne and his wife Shawn; her grandchildren, Cresful William Horne, III and Skylar Kimberlyn Horne; her sisters, Betty Bowers and Eileen Austin; and her brother, Ben Williams.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, August 20th at 11:00 a.m. at Morgan & Son Funeral Home, 218 East Main Street in Marshville, NC. The family will have an informal visitation immediately following the service. The Reverend Rocky Carpenter will officiate.
The family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support in many heart-felt forms from too many people to thank individually. A special thank you to Elaine, Tracy and Cindi, the lovely ladies who took such good care of Billie during her final years.
