Marshville – Mrs. Billie Tarlton, 96, passed away, Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Atrium Health – Union.  Born October 28, 1926 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Zeno Bartley Purser and Sarah Rushing Purser. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 72 years, Bob Allen Tarlton in 2017; siblings, Pauline Stevenson, Hazel Hilton, Mildred Hall, Harold Purser, Zeno Purser Jr, Jerry Purser and Jake Purser.

A funeral to celebrate the life of Billie will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, March 7, 2023 by the graveside of Marshville City Cemetery. Visitation will follow by the graveside.  Mrs. Billie will lie in state on Monday from 12 noon until 3:30 at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Those left to cherish Mrs. Billie's memory include her daughter, Judy Tarlton Little; two grandchildren, Scott Allen Little (Wanda); Marty Little McEwen (Steve); great-grandchildren, Kayla Marie Little (Will); Jacob Myles McEwen, Madison Little Fields (Cam); great-great grandchildren, Hayden Grace Little and Ellie Mae Fields.
