Mr. Billy Lee Traywick, 82, passed away Monday, February 3, 2020 at his home. Born June 15, 1937 in Union County, he was a son of the late LeRoy and Ethel Traywick. He was also preceded in death by his twin brother Bobby Traywick. Billy was a selfless and caring man, loved his family and serving in his church. His smile and good humor were a blessing to all.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Billy will be 11 AM Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Union Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 10- 10:45 at the church.
Mr. Traywick is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Ann Carpenter Traywick; daughters, Kim Carpenter (Dale) of Cullowhee, NC, Lora Zalaquett (George) of Matthews, Jill Troutman (Lee) of Fayetteville, NC and Jennifer Carroll (Ernest) of Asheboro; two sisters, Gail Rushing (fiancé, Paul Dremann) of Utah and Janet Sutherland (Joe) of Raleigh; nine grandchildren, Kellen Carpenter, Jenna Gross (Jason), Amanda White (Curt), Max Zalaquett (Kristin), Adam Zalaquett, Meredith Tripp (Jordan), Thomas Troutman, Jonathan Carroll, Benjamin Carroll; three great grandsons, Tucker Tripp, Levi White and Calvin Gross; sister in law, Delura Traywick.
