Mr. Bob Tarlton, 91, passed away Wednesday the 18 ^th of January, 2017 at Hospice House of Union County.  He was born on December the 5 ^th , 1925 to the late Will and Jessie Griffin Tarlton.  He was a US Army Veteran of WWII.  He was the co-founder of Rebel Lumber Company and was involved in the timber business all his life.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his six siblings: Roy Tarlton, Jack Tarlton, Leon Tarlton, Frank Tarlton, Pat Helms and Margaret Hardwick.

Graveside Services will be 11am Saturday the 21 ^st of January, 2017 at the Marshville City Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6pm-7:30pm Friday the 20 ^th of January at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years Mrs. Billie P. Tarlton.  One daughter Mrs. Judy Little of Marshville.  His grandchildren: Mr. Scott Little and Mrs. Marty Little McEwen and her husband Steve all of Marshville.  He is also survived by his three great-grandchildren: Kayla Little, Jacob McEwen and Madison Little.  Bob is also survived by one brother Rev. Jimmy Tarlton and his wife Plydene.
