Mr. Bobby L. Helms 61 passed away on September the 27th, 2016 at Hospice House of Union County. He was born in Lancaster on January the 9th, 1955 to the late Thomas Howard and Mildred Lee Pope Helms. Bobby was a retired welder with over 43 years of service. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one grandson Brantlee Adam Helms.
Funeral Services will be 11am Friday in the Chapel of Morgan & Son. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Entombment will be in Lakeland Memorial Park, Monroe.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Mrs. Donna E. Helms of Marshville. Two sons: Mr. Thomas Howard Helms and his wife Crystal of Monroe and Douglas Lee Helms and his wife Michelle of Stanfield. Three sisters: Carolyn Stevenson and her husband Charles of Marshville, Peggy Eubanks and her husband Wayne of Lancaster, SC and Denise Guffey of Monroe. Four grandchildren: Thomas Howard Helms, Jr., Tyler Lee Helms, Brooke Erin Helms, and Blake Scott Helms. His aunts Louise Parker of Monroe, Marlene Huntley and husband Kemp of Wadesboro and Geraldine Barns and her husband Sammy of Farmville, NC. He is also survived by his extended family Debbie Griffin and her husband James, Susan Coyer and her husband Jack and Jimmy Elms and many nieces and nephews.
