Monroe – Mr. Bobby Willie Lee Motes, Sr., 63, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021 at Hospice House in Monroe, NC.  He was born in Laurens, SC on June 17, 1958 and was the son of the late Willie Lee Motes and Bobbie Jean King.  He was also preceded in death by a brother Terry Burke.

Mr. Motes is survived by his spouse, Teresa Motes; three sons, Lee Motes, Todd Motes, and Patrick Motes all of Pageland, SC.; four brothers, Billy Motes (Susan), Gray Court, SC, Ernie Motes (Vicky), Ruby, SC, Ronnie Motes (Deborah), Wingate, NC and Scott Burke, Marshville, NC; five sisters, Barbara Walker (Bobby), Gastonia, NC, Brenda Hoard (Ronnie), Clarksville, TN, Patricia Allen (Nathaniel), Marshville, NC, Crystal Burke and Cindy Burke of Monroe, NC.
