Peachland Brackie E. Hill, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great-Grandfather of Surfside Beach, SC passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Anson County, NC. To the late Horace C. & Hallie Trull Hill. He was retired from Conbraco as a maintenance supervisor. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Mr. Bobby Hill, his granddaughter Ms. Paula McDonald and four siblings: Hazel H. Griffin, Rebecca H. Thomas, Emmett F. Hill, and Brenda H. Beamer. Funeral Services will be 12 noon Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 6 – 8:30 at Morgan & Son Funeral Home. Mr. Hill is survived by his wife Mrs. Elsie E. Hill of Surfside Beach, SC. and his three children: Mrs. Barbara McDonald and her husband Danny of Rock Hill, SC, Mr. Brackie "Billy" W. Hill and his wife Brenda of Albemarle, and Susan H. Horne and her husband Randy of Indian Trail. Four grandchildren:
D. D'Agostino, Sharon M. Grooms and her husband Jody, Julianne "Julie" H. Byrd and her husband Kelly, Garrett L. Horne and his wife Kayla, and Abbey Horne. His brother Mr. Clinton Hill. Four great-grandchildren: Nolan J. Grooms, Ally D. Grooms, Kiersten F. Byrd and Charlotte Grace Grooms. Step-granddaughter, Melissa Whitley. Step-great-grandchildren: Kayla Whitley & Son, Brentley, Logan McDonald, and Brendan McDonald.
