Marshville – Mrs. Brenda Davis Helms, 77, passed peacefully away at her home to live eternally with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, September 20, 2021. Born July 1, 1944 she was a daughter of the late Lorenzo Frank Davis and Fannie Pearl Ponds Davis. She married Anthony Craig Helms Oct. 13, 1960 and they had 4 children. Brenda was a member of Lanes Creek Baptist Church for many years where she loved to sing and help others. She worked as a waitress at the Palomino Restaurant in Marshville where she was loved by all and she also help manage King's Skating Rink in Marshville where she was known as "Mama 2" by many of the kids. She baked cakes and worked in the card ministry over the years at First Baptist Church of Marshville. She loved to sing, dance, craft, write, can and garden. Most of her life was spent as a home maker. Being there for her husband and family was her highest calling, especially, doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren, all of whom loved her immensely. Though preceded in death by her 5 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 grandchild, Zoeie Helms, she leaves behind those to cherish her memories, her husband, Craig Helms, to whom she was married for almost 61 years, daughters, Carla Beaver (Gerald) and Lisa Love, sons Clint Helms (Romonia), Chass Helms (Julie), 11 grandchildren, Kayla Sochor (Josh), Brett Mullis, Daniel Beaver (Ciara), Lexi Yates (Taylor), Alena Helms, Bella Helms, Rachel Love, Scarlett Helms, Gabby Helms, Gabriel Helms and Joseph Beaver and 5 great grandchildren, Braylin, Charlotte, Makai, Ivan, and Elizabeth and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend and will be missed by all.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Brenda will be 11AM Saturday, September 25, 2021.  Burial will be private at Marshville City Cemetery.
