Marshville - Mr. Byron Brooks Stewart, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at his home, Born April 14, 1951, in Union County, he was the son of the late John Benton Stewart and Agnes Turner Stewart.  He was also preceded in death by children, Terri Lee Stewart, Brooks Stewart and a sibling, Barbara Tucker.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Byron will be 11AM Friday, April 10, 2026, from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Linda Presley Stewart; children, Stacy Stewart and Sharon Griffin (Perry); grandchildren, Steven Polk Jr., Brandon Polk, Chase Griffin, Alyssa Brooke, Abigail Griffin; several great grandchildren; sibling, Deloris Broome (Mike) and a brother-in-law, John Tucker

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 7002 Pleasant Hill Church Road, Marshville, NC  28103.
