Marshville – Mr. J. Carl Jones, 90, passed away, Wednesday, March 23, 2022 peacefully in his home. Born July 5, 1931 in Union County, he was a son of the late Henry and Nellie Adams Jones.  He was also preceded in death by siblings, Claude Jones and Lois Jones Evans.

Carl served in the Army during the Korean war from 1952-1954. After leaving the military, he pursued a career in trucking along with raising poultry for Tyson Foods for 50 years.  He enjoyed spending time and making memories with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He always made sure that everyone knew just how much he loved his wife and how much she meant to him.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Carl will be 2 PM Sunday, March 27, 2022 from Faulks Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside service.

Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 70 years, Sarah Williams Jones; daughter, Cherie Jefferson; grandchildren, Lauren Boatright, Blake Hill, Kyle Hill, Austin Turner, Landon Turner, Logan Turner, Elle Turner and Lainey Turner; 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly
