Mrs. Carrie Wilkes Wallace, 85, passed away Saturday, September 5th, 2026, at Atrium Health – Union in Monroe. Born October 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Wade Wilkes and Rosetta Mumford Wilkes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dobby Wallace, Sr, granddaughter, Jessica Dawn Wallace, siblings, D.W. Wilkes, Wade Wilkes, Jr., Lynwood Wilkes, David Wilkes, Steve Wilkes, and Mable Hudgins.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Carrie will be 11 AM, Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with visitation prior from 10 – 10:45. Burial will follow the service at Wingate City Cemetery.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Richard Wallace (Kimberly), Frank Wallace, Jr. (Gina) Tommy Wallace (Karen Moore), 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister, Mamie Jean Jackson.
