Mr. Carroll Staton, 67, went to be with our Lord in Heaven on Wednesday, April 5, 2017. Born May 14, 1949 he was a son of the late UC and Janie Staton. A wonderful & Loving husband, father and brother. He provided for his family running heavy equipment before he turned to farming and driving a truck for many years as owner/operator of Carroll Staton Trucking.  He also found peace and comfort in working with his cows.  He was also preceded in death by his beloved brother, Jerry Staton and his first wife Gwen Smith Staton.

Memorial services will be held Sunday at 2pm at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.

Carroll is survived by his soul mate and loving wife of 45 years, Wanda Thomas Staton; sons, John Staton (Paige), and Tommy Staton (Tera); daughter, Tracy Griffin (Steve); grandchildren, Kyle Griffin, Sam Griffin, Bo Staton, Brady Staton, Tony Sampson, Michael Staton, Austin Perkins, Dustin Perkins and Cheyenne French all of Marshville; brother, Harold Staton of Galax, VA; sister, Kathy Smith of Decatur, GA.; great grandchildren, Kaiden Perkins and Hunner Phillips.

Morgan & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Staton.
