Marshville – Christopher Chad Sims, 46, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his home.  Born May 29, 1974 in Union County, he was a son of Cynthia Ann McAnelly and the late Charles Hollis Sims.  He was also preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Doreen McAnelly.  Chad's passion for listening and playing music brought the community together.  He will always be our Superman.

A graveside funeral service will be 2 PM on Monday, October 12, 2020 at Centerview Baptist Church Cemetery in Marshville.  The family will receive friends following the graveside at Chad and Gretchen's home.

In addition to his mother, Chad is survived by his loving wife, Gretchen Purser Sims; daughters, Skye Lowery (Jared), Karlee Sims (fiancé, Justin) and Gracie Sims (fiancé, Sean); grandchildren, Kizer Jordan, Danielle Lowery and Jaxson Hunter; siblings, Shae Sims (Danielle), Crissie Sherrin (Eric), Lorie Armstrong (Scott), Candice Keith and Cason Sims (Ashley); numerous nieces and nephews.

The family suggests memorials made to the American Kidney Foundation and/or American Heart Association via their websites.
