Marshville – Mr. Charles Jackson Ritch, 72, passed away Friday, July 21, 2023 at Jesse Helms Nursing Center in Monroe.  Born December 20, 1950, he was a son of the late Ira and Betty Ritch. He was also preceded in death by sons, Tony Ritch and George Trakas, Jr., son-in-law, Mike Woodard, and a brother, Ricky Ritch (Joyce).

Charles was an amazing husband, good father and wonderful grandfather. He loved deeply and taught Carol how a man could and should love a woman.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Charles will be 2 PM Friday, July 28, 2023 at East Campus of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, 6140 West Marshville Blvd, Marshville, NC.  The family will receive friends following the service in the church vestibule.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 27 years, Carol Deese Ritch; children, Bernadette Woodard, John Trakas (Amy), Eddie Trakas and, Randy Lanford (Kristin); 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Sheila Ritch Greene (Mike), Teresa Ritch and Steve Ritch (Cindy).
