Mr. Chayce Thompson, 19, passed away on June the 23 ^rd , 2017 in Wilmington, NC.  He was born in Myrtle Beach, SC on September the 28 ^th , 1997 and had just completed his Freshman year at East Carolina University where he was studying Business Administration and Theater Arts.  He was a 2016 graduate of West Stanly High School.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather Mr. Charles Hill, Sr..

Chayce was a member of The West Stanly Players and was the 2016  recipient of the "Actor of the Year".  Chayce was scheduled to be the stage manager for the Uwharrie Players production of "Mary Poppins". Academically Chayce was a member of the West Stanly Honor Society and a NC Scholar.  His academic success followed him to East Carolina University where he was a member of the  Excel Honor Society, the ECU College of Fine Arts & Communication Honor Society and the ECU College of Business Honor Society.

Funeral Services will be 11am Thursday the 29 ^th of June, 2017 at Hopewell Baptist Church. 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe, NC 28110.  The family will greet friends following the service.  Interment will be private.

He is survived by his mother Judy Hill Thompson of Albemarle.  His maternal grandmother Mrs. Jackie Hill Austin and her husband Herman of Peachland.  His uncle Mr. Charlie Hill and his wife Kelly of Locust and his aunt Jayne Hill of Wingate.  His cousins: Lorie Narolewski and her husband Jack and Trey Hill all of Locust. His step-sisters: Kelly Thompson Williamson of Surfside Beach, and Lindsay Thompson Stone of Greensboro, NC.  He is also survived by his paternal great-grandmother Mrs. Molly Owens and his great-aunt Mrs. Debbie Owens.  Chayce is also survived by his special friend, his dog F.A..
