Mr. Chris Horne, 50, passed away Saturday August 15, 2020.  Born September 15, 1969 in Union County, he was a son of Gary William Horne and the late Mary Ann Horne.  He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Anslee Horne.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Chris will be 11 am, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from the Southbrook Church, 5607 Monroe-Weddington Road, Weddington, NC with burial to follow at Lakeland Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-7 pm at the Lee Park Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, Chris is survived by his son, Trent Horne and his fiancé Ashlyn of Monroe; grandson, Ryder Horne of Monroe; his fiancé, Mandy Crook and her daughters, Carlie and Emmie all of Monroe; brothers, Jeff Horne (Kim) of Monroe and Greg Horne (Angie) of Monroe; number of nieces and nephews; the Union County Sheriff's Office.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hometown Heroes, via their website.
