Mr. Chris Stewart, 56, of Marshville, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023 at his home.  Born October 19, 1966, he was a son of the late Charles Larry Stewart and JoAnn Helms Lindsay.

Chris enjoyed doing woodworking and selling at festivals. He worked many years with his Mom and siblings at their family owned company "Unfinished Business" in Wingate, NC.

He was a huge Carolina Tarheel basketball fan and shared those good times with his brothers and Dad. He also had a love for the beach, and when given the opportunity he would take off on the weekends to spend his time on the pier fishing.  One of the greatest joys of his life were his four granddaughters. He loved all of his girls and enjoyed spending time together with them.  He loved his children unconditionally and was always so proud of them and their accomplishments.  He was a jokester and loved making people laugh, but most of all had a big heart and lots of love for all his family and the Lord. Although it is a sad day for us left behind, we can have peace in knowing he is in finally free from the worries of this world and in his eternal home in heaven.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Chris will be 4 PM Tuesday, October 10, 2023 from the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with the family receiving friends following the service at the funeral home.

Chris is survived by a son, Tyler Stewart (Tory); daughter, Ashlyn Carpenter (Corey); grandchildren, Holland and Hunter Carpenter, Ryann and Logan Stewart. Siblings, Debbie Hargett (Bill), Charles "Chip" Stewart (Kay), Jeannie Barber, Robbie Stewart (Michelle), and Rich Stewart (Paula); many nieces and nephews.
