Christine Hilton Ross, 99, passed away Friday, November 29, 2024, at St. Andrew's Assisted Living Center in Concord, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Ross was born July 6, 1925, in Union County, NC, to Wylie and Eliza Strawn Hilton.  She was the last surviving sibling of 10.  A lifelong resident of Marshville, she retired from Marshville Elementary School.

Christine was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Henry F. Ross; daughter, Brenda Sue Ross; grandchildren, Ross Price and Madison Ross; and son-in-law Ralph Valentine.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at the Marshville City Cemetery gazebo.

Mrs. Ross is survived by her daughters, Kathy Ross Valentine of Concord, Donna Ross Wood and husband Abe of Mt. Gilead; son, Kim F. Ross and wife Jane of Wingate; grandchildren, Toss Valentine (Meredith), Carolyn Valentine, Becky Ross, John Valentine (Katrina), Brittany Ross Bradshaw (Aaron), Evan Ross; great grandchildren, Hunter Price, Stuart Valentine, Oliver Valentine, Henry Valentine and Emma Grace Valentine.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, Samaritan's Purse, PO Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607, or a charity of your choice.
