Mrs. Christine Mills Sistar 83, passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 at her home. Born May 1, 1933 Union County, she was a daughter of the late Arsh Rayford Mills and Sarah McCoy Mills. She was preceded in death by brothers, J.D., Frank, Bill, Henry, Bob and Ray Mills; sisters Carrie Arant, Pauline Keziah and Faye Blackmon; and a daughter-in-law, Denise Sistar. She was a member of Freedom Baptist Church in Peachland
Funeral services will be 2PM Saturday September 3, 2016 at the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Unity A.R.P. Church in Lancaster, SC
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Richard T. Sistar of the home; sons, Richard E. "Gene" Sistar and his wife Betty of Marshville, James H. Sistar of Monroe and Thomas Jeffrey Sistar and wife Annette of Marshville; daughters, Teresa High and husband Billy of Marshville and Carolyn Carpenter and husband Roger of Peachland 16 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren.
