Monroe – Mr. Don Charles "Chuck" Porter, 82 passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Novant Health Matthews Medical Center.  Born June 25, 1940 in Dayton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Donald Vincent Porter and Lois Loween Barber Porter.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 42 years, Carolyn Miller Porter; daughter, Jennifer Schornstadt (Christian); son, Charlie "Chuck" Porter, II (Kimberly); daughter, Paige Sandford; grandchildren; Sarah Porter, Riley Porter, Parker Sandford, Micah Sandford, Drew Sandford and Siri Sandford; brother, Douglas R. Porter (Arlette).

The family will receive friends Sunday, January 29th, 2023 at Morgan & Son Funeral Home from 1 – 1:45. A funeral service to celebrate the life of Chuck will follow at 2 PM in the chapel of Morgan & Son with military honors.
