Peachland
David T. Underwood, 60, passed away on Sunday the 17th of September, 2017 at his home in Peachland. He was born in Anson County on August the 6th, 1957: the son of the late Elizabeth Preslar and S. Taft Underwood.
He was an amazing woodsman and an avid huntsman, fisherman, and trapper. He was a founding member of the North Carolina Trapper's Association and took great pride in its work.
But Mostly He loved his family!
Funeral Services will be 12 noon, Thursday the 21st of September, 2017 at Oakdale Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6pm-8pm Wednesday at Morgan & Son Funeral Home of Marshville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Vaughn Underwood and the family rejoices in their heavenly reunion.
He is survived by his daughters:  Amanda Raxter and her husband John of Burnsville.  Katie Kobersy and her husband Mario of Peachland. Four beloved grandchildren: Taft, Jaxon, and Abbigail Raxter and Isobel Kobersy. His is also survived by his brother Denny Underwood and his wife Pat of Marshville and their children Layton Underwood and Raelle of Indian Trail, Peggy and Martin Mace and Fulton Underwood, all of Marshville. His sister Susan Parker and husband Gene of Lilesville, and their children Matt and Marsha Kearney of Morven, Joannie Barnhill and Franklin of Lilesville, Jonathan and Brittany Coley of Polkton and Billy and Summer Parker of Lilesville.
