Obituary

Marshville - Diana June Curzon, only daughter of Charles and Phyllis Curzon of Gloucester, England. She was born May 28, 1938 and transitioned Thursday, November 11, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved brother Graham and grandson Nicholas.

Lady Di, as she was affectionately known, was a loving mother of John Horne (Brandi), Sarah Horne-Barfield, Iain Balfour (Aimee), Caroline Benton (John), grandmother of Noah, Joseph, Kira, Colton, Avery, Annalise, Madison, Isabel and Gabriel and great grandmother of Riley.

Diana graduated from Queen Elizabeth Nursing School in England in 1960 and continued her career until she was 80 years old.  She was a member of East Campus of First Baptist Church of Indian Trail and sang in the choir at First Baptist Church of Indian Trail, main campus.

Diana was a devoted mother and was very proud of her children and the parents they have become.  Her love of gardening was her joy for many years until arthritis took its toll.  In 2012, Diana fell in love with a little dog she named "Mac" and the two were devoted companions for 9 years.  Diana was always an independent person (to a fault) at times, but it was this fierce independence that kept her family together after the move to America in 1980 and for the years following. As a single mom, she was so proud of her children and the way they stepped up for her and each other with love and support.

The family would like to thank the church members and friends for their support for many years.

The family will have a memorial service to celebrate the life of Diana at 11 AM, Friday, November 19, 2021 at East Campus of Marshville, 6140 West Marshville Blvd., Marshville, NC  28103.  The family will receive friends from 10 AM until service time on Friday at the church.  Florists, please direct all flower tributes to the church only.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the East Campus First Baptist Church of Indian Trail Evangelistic ministry.
