Peachland – Mrs. Doris Randall Richardson, 97, passed away Friday, February 2, 2024, at home surrounded by family.  Born October 22, 1926, in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late James Franklin Randall and Mary Small Randall.  She was also preceded in death by her husband Jaye Richardson, Sr. in 1986 and sons, Billy J. Richardson, Larry B. Richardson, Robin D. Richardson, brothers, Leon Randall, Kenneth Randall, Ted Randall, Odis Randall and a sister, Peggy Randall Weems.

Doris loved her Lord Jesus. She enjoyed crocheting and blessed many newborns with her baby hats and blankets.  She enjoyed baking, rescuing dogs and word search books.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Doris will be 11 AM, Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at Union Grove Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 - 10:45 in the church fellowship building.

Those left to cherish her memory include sons, Jaye B. Richardson, Jr. (Melanie) and Jon B. Richardson (Debbie); daughter, Chris Richardson Boatright; sister, Jewell Randall Helms; daughter-in-law, Susie Richardson; many grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Union Grove Baptist Church, 2506 Old Lawyers Road, Marshville, NC 28103.
