Douglas Cranford Hill, 84, of Marshville, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at his home in Marshville.  Born September 24, 1938 in Union County, he was a son of the late Eli Boyce Hill and Sarah Elizabeth Baucom Hill.  He was also preceded in death by his wife Anna Lou Jackson Hill, siblings, Parks Hill, Geraldine Tilson, Frances Hill, Diane Hill and Sherry Chris.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Douglas will be 11 AM, Friday September 15, 2023 by the graveside of Marshville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following by the grave.

Those left to cherish his memory include siblings, Eddie Hill (Betty), Rev. Steve Hill (Doris), Carolyn Borders; many nieces and nephews.
