Marshville - Mrs. Edwina Marsh Watson, 73 died Saturday, April 19, 2014 at her home. Born September 27, 1940 in Mecklenburg County, she was a daughter of the late Steve Parker Marsh, Jr. and Mable Leigh Walters Marsh. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Robert Watson. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 am from the Marshville First Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 pm at the Morgan & Son Funeral Home. Mrs. Watson is survived by sons, John S. Watson and wife Tamara of Concord and R. Marshall Watson and wife Jean of Indian Trail; brother, Steve P. Marsh, III and wife Judy of Mooresville; grandchildren, Tyler Watson of Concord, Elizabeth Watson, Richard Watson and Matthew Watson all of Indian Trail. The family suggests memorials be made to Hospice of Union County or Marshville First Baptist Church.
