Mr. Elden Evens High, 82, passed away April 9, 2019 at the Hospice House in Monroe. Born February 14, 1937 in Anson County, he was a son of the late Erastus and Leona Hamilton High. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Crawford B. "Cowboy" High, Johnny R. High and Max M. High.
A graveside service to celebrate the life of Elden will be Friday at 11 AM at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with visitation to follow by the grave.
Mr. High is survived by his loving wife Ann Bonner High of the home; son, Tony High of Oregon, daughters, Jeanette Wade of Oregon and Helen Butler of Gainesville, Florida; brothers, Bill High (Edith), Bruce High (Rose) and Joel High (Vera) all of Marshville; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
