Mrs. Eldis S. Broome, 85 passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Autumn Care in Marshville.  She was born on March the 3 ^rd , 1931 to the late Bithel and Lidia E. Baucom Staton.  She was retired from Union County Public Schools where she worked in Food Service at Forest Hills High School and New Salem Elementary.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Fairfield Community Baptist Church.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the church.  Interment will follow in Lakeland Memorial Park.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Mr. Olin Lee Broome.  Her two daughters: Mrs. Theresa B. Kizer and her husband Don of Simpsonville, SC and Krista B. Griffin of Marshville.  Her grandchildren: Andrea K. Waters, Justin Griffin, and Brittany Griffin.

Her family would like to express their thanks for the kindness and professionalism they have shown Eldis during her stay at Autumn Care  and her individual caregivers: Tara, Lela, and Betty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairfield Community Baptist Church: 3129 Hwy 205, Marshville, NC  28103.
