Marshville- Mrs. Elizabeth H. Griffin, 87, passed away October 13, 2014 at the Jesse Helms Nursing Center in Monroe. She was born in Union County on April 10, 1927 to the late Joel Spurgeon and Lois Worley Hargett. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. W.S. "Dub" Griffin and one daughter Susan Worley Griffin.
Services will be 11am Wednesday the 15th of October, 2014 in the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. The family will greet friends following the service. Interment will be in the Marshville City Cemetery.
She is survived by her son Sammy Griffin of Matthews and one daughter Beth Griffin Stegall and her husband Richard of Wingate. Five grandchildren: Travis Stegall, Blair Stegall, Callie Stegall, Brigitte Griffin and Cassie Griffin. Three great-grandchildren: Conner Stegall, Benton Stegall and Greyson Stegall.
