Mrs. Evelyn T. Thomas, 85, passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at Autumn Care Nursing Home in Marshville. Born November 12, 1934 in Union County, she was a daughter of the late Eunice McClain Thomas and Mary Philemon Thomas. She was also preceded by her husband, James "J.B." Brady Thomas in 1999, a son, Everette, a sister, Annette Deese and a son-in-law, Carroll Staton
A funeral to celebrate the life of Evelyn will be 2 PM Friday from the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Euto Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-7 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Thomas is survived by a daughter, Wanda Thomas Staton of Marshville; grandchildren, John Staton (Paige), Tommy Staton (Tera), Tracy Griffin (Steve), Amy Wiles (Dave) and Chad Thomas; great - grandchildren, Kyle Griffin, Sam Griffin, Bo Staton, Brady Staton, Joshua Wiles, David Wiles, Payton Wiles, Tony Sampson, and Michael Staton.
