Mrs. Flossie Williams Russell, 91, of Marshville, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the Hospice House in Monroe.  Born November 14, 1934, in Union County, she was the daughter of the late George W. Williams and Fettie T. Williams.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Cecil Russell and siblings, Ned and Ted (twins), George Michael and Max Williams.

She helped her husband on the farm, then chose to do public work.  She worked for Tyson Foods for 20 years in labeling.  After retiring, she enjoyed needle point, baking and decorating cakes, cooking and babysitting her granddaughters.

Celebration and honor of life services will be 11 AM, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at Olive Branch Baptist Church and she will be laid to rest beside her husband in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 PM at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Those left to cherish Flossie's memory include son, Gerald Russell (Virginia), daughter, Darlene Smith (Monty), son, Neal Russell (Connie), 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren, siblings, Sarah Jones, Pauline Pope, Judy Godwin; and several nieces and nephews.
