Marshville – Mrs. Frances Edwards Simpson Williams, 80, died November 27, 2015 at CMC in Charlotte. Born January 8, 1935 she was a daughter of the late Thomas William (Bit) Edwards and Novella Sanders Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ted Williams, sister, Magdalean Stegall, brothers, Frank, Bob and Cecil Edwards.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Frances will be held 2 pm Tuesday at Olive Branch Baptist Church with burial following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Monday evening at Morgan & Son Funeral Home.

Survivors include two sons, Eddie Williams and his wife Starla and Michael Williams and his wife Melissa; daughter, Kathy Staton and her husband Douglas (Pug) all of Marshville; brother, Seaborn Edwards and his wife Essie of Marshville; grandchildren, Emily Thomas and her husband Brandon, Elaine Kluttz and her husband Kevin, Josh, Chandler, Jesse and Maggie Williams; great grandchild, Hunter Thomas; Frances was happily awaiting another great grandchild due soon; special friends, Jean Edwards and Everette Little; many nieces and nephews.
