Wingate - Mr. Frank Terry Goodson, 81, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at his home with family and friends by his side. Born February 2,1944 in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Frank Richard Goodson and Murlee Broome Goodson. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 22 years, Edith Goodson, siblings, Dot Keener, James Goodson, Mickie Goodson Robinson, and Florene Goodson.

Frank proudly served as a member of the United States Army Artillery Branch in the Vietnam War from 1966-1967. He then went on to become an Agricultural Inspector for the USDA for 50 years. A loving husband, father, Pawpaw, and brother, he loved cooking for his family and will always be remembered as the "grill master". Frank enjoyed gardening and fishing and took great pride in his garden. He never missed a family gathering, birthday party, ballgame, or last-minute invite to dinner. He will always be remembered for his compassion and loyalty to those he loved. His love for the Lord, his family, and the home and garden he built will forever be unmatched.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Frank will be 2 PM Thursday, May 1, 2025, from the Chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marshville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside.

Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Jennifer Wooten (Joe); Angie Jones (Mike), David Morgan (Buffy); grandchildren, Cameron Pettine, Jack and Sam Wooten, Shelby and Addison Jones, Bryson and Jaxon Morgan; great grandchildren Emery and Avery Church; sister, Peggy Goodson Mode; several nieces and nephews.
