Mrs. Frieda Smith Corbett 71, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2016 2016 at CMC in Charlotte. Born March 14, 1945, she was a daughter of the late Jim William Webb and Adell Fox Webb. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Leonard Smith.
Funeral services will be 2 PM Friday, November 25, 2016 at the New Home Baptist Church. The family will greet friends from 1-2 pm on Friday in the church's fellowship building. Burial will follow the services in the church cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Gerald Corbett; son, Bradford Eugene Smith of Monroe; daughters, LaMonda Brooks of China Grove, NC and Rita Ann Griffin of Charlotte; step daughters, Jeannean Corbett and Wendy Jenkins; 4 grandchildren, Heather Kershaw, Lindsey Barnhardt, Morgan Smith and Kayla Smith; 2 step grandchildren, Melissa Rayner and Michelle Harrington; and 5 great-grandchildren, Grace Kershaw, Landon Barnhardt, William Kershaw, Dalton Barnhardt and Bryson Barnhardt; 2 step great grandchildren, Taylor Harrington and Logan Harrington; brothers, Steve Webb of Rutherfordton, NC and Jimmy Webb of Charlotte; sisters, Shirley Hodges of Rutherfordton, NC and Linda Taylor. Beloved sister-in-law, Doris Crotts and her husband Robert.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials made to the New Home Baptist Church, 1617 New Home Church Road, Peachland, NC 28133.
