Mr. Garry C. Godwin 63, passed away on October the 10th, 2018 at Hospice House of Union County. He was born in Anson County on April the 18th, 1955 to the late Vance McClain "Buck" Godwin and Gladys Edwards Godwin. He was a Cylinder Auditor for Airgas in Charlotte and worked for Helzberg Diamonds at Carolina Place Mall in Pineville, NC. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest Godwin who passed away in 2015.
Funeral Services will be 2pm Saturday the 13th of October, 2018 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends in the sanctuary one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by his mother Mrs. Gladys Edwards Godwin of Marshville. He is also survived by his wife Leslie, and his son Andrew Godwin of Rock Hill. One brother Mr. Eddie Godwin and his wife Anita of Belmont. One niece Lauren Macon and her husband John of Belmont.
