Marshville – Mr. Gary Grant Pennigar, 87, passed away, Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at his home.  Born July 3, 1933, he was the son of the late Jay Hugh Pennigar and Lela Smith Pennigar.  He was retired from Duke Power Company after 31 years of service.  Gary was the last survivor of his ten siblings.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Gary will be 4 PM Friday, July 31, 2020 from the graveside of Marshville City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends following by the grave.  Mr. Pennigar will be open for viewing on Thursday from 1-4 pm.

Mr. Pennigar is survived by his loving wife Marjorie Phifer Pennigar of the home; son, Tim Pennigar (Pam) of Durham, NC; daughter, Holly Bowlin (Randy) of Apex, NC; grandchildren, Paige Pennigar, Jill Pennigar and Jake (Taylor) Pennigar.
