Mr. Billy Gene Carpenter, 69, died Wednesday December 12, 2018 at his home. Born November 1, 1949 in Anson County, he was a son of the late Albert Croft and Lois Stegall Carpenter.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10-10:45 at Bright Spot Baptist Church with the funeral starting at 11 AM. Burial will follow in the Peachland City Cemetery.
Gene is survived by his loving wife Wanda Holmes Carpenter of the home; daughters, Chandy Byrum and her husband Scott of Monroe and Amy Perkins of Monroe; son, Justin Carpenter and his wife Shannon of Peachland; grandchildren, Hunter and Rhett Byrum, Colton and Connor Perkins and Weston and Daylen Carpenter; Siblings include Jim Carpenter (Ethel) and Kay Carpenter Stegall (Billy).
The family suggests memorials made to Bright Spot Baptist Church, 1407 Lockhart Street, Monroe, NC 28112.
