Mr. Gene Clay 55, passed away October the 5th, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Union County on June the 19th, 1961 to Herman and Margie Hinson Clay of Monroe. He was the owner of Gene's Mobile Service and Garage for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his daughter Sunny LeAnn Clay, his grandfather John Hinson, his Uncle Larry Deese, and a cousin Brian Deese.
Memorial Services will be 3pm Friday the 7th of October, 2016 at Centerview Baptist Church. The family will greet friends following the Service. In accordance with Gene's wishes the family requests that all attending the Memorial Service dress casually.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 29 years DeLane Clay. His son Mr. Chad Clay and his wife Sara and his daughter Ms. Paige Clay all of Marshville. His grandmother Mrs. Odessa Hinson of Monroe and his brother Calvin. He is also survived by his aunts: Ann Deese and Pat Hinson both of Monroe and Frankie and Elaine Furr of Concord. He also leaves behind several cousins.
