Mrs. Gertrude Jackson Medlin, 89, of Marshville passed away Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Brookdale Senior Living Monroe Square.  Born September 29, 1936, in Anson County, she was the daughter of the late Talmadge Jackson and Fannie Baucom Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Jerry D. Medlin and sister Anna Lou Hill.

Mrs. Medlin graduated from Peachland High School.  She and Jerry were married November 2, 1956.  Mrs. Medlin worked in the textile industry until her retirement.  She enjoyed gardening and the companionship of her cat.  Mrs. Medlin was of the Baptist Faith.

A funeral service to celebrate the life of Gertrude will be 2 PM Thursday, July 2, 2026 from the chapel of Morgan & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the funeral from 1-1:45 pm.  Gertrude will be laid to rest in Marshville City Cemetery.

Those left to cherish Gertrude's memory include sister Geraldine (Ross) Puckett, nephew Kevin Puckett, and niece Cynthia (Joel) Dye.
