Mrs. Gladys Louise Jones Wright, 104, passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at her home. Born February 3, 1915 in Anson County, she was a daughter of the late Nathaniel Shepherd Jones and Ida Edwards Jones. She was also preceded in death by her husband Frank Wright.
A funeral service to celebrate the life of Gladys will be held 11 AM Friday at Deep Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the graveside in the church.
Mrs. Wright is survived by daughters, Rebecca Nance (Harold) of Peachland, NC and Sybil Ferree (Barry) of Pfafftown, NC, sons, Bobby Wright (Jean) of Peachland, NC and Sheppard Wright (Libby) of Spartanburg, SC, 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
