Mr. Harold Richard Haney, 74, passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at his home. He was born in Union County on August 12, 1943 to the late Olin Franklin and Allie Ross Haney. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters: Frances, Helen, and an infant sister Shirley Ruth, brother Joe Frank and sister-in-law Sally. He was a retired machinist with Allvac after 49 years of service. He was an avid NASCAR and Carolina Panthers fan.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Lucy E. Haney. Son, Mr. Marcus Richard Haney and his wife April. His grandsons: Hunter, Nathan and Peyton Haney. His brother: Mr. Norris Haney and his wife Sue of Monroe. His sisters: Mrs. Lauren Parker and her husband Larry of Marshville, Mrs. Joyce Speedie and her husband Bill of Jefferson, NC.
